My dear friend, Wayne, who did not have family in town, contracted with Giovanna during his battle with cancer. When I would visit Wayne, he expressed how pleased he was with the Stewards who cared for him at his home, the hospital, and eventually at hospice. I got to witness firsthand the beautiful bond that Wayne had with one of his caregivers named Ann. I had the opportunity to work with Gifted Stewards a few months ago. I am the wellness director of an assisted living community, I had a resident needing private duty care due to staging in her disease process. Watching our beloved resident go through the different phases of her disease process required around the clock care as she progressed.

I couldn't  think of any other company suitable to care for our sweet lady other than Gifted Stewards. Often in Nursing we come across different companies offering  the same kind of service.

However I knew I could entrust Gifted Stewards with our resident, because of the level of professionalism, patience, love, compassion and selflessness that both Marilyn and Giovanna demonstrated during our first meeting.

What lead me to reach out to them with this specific resident was the fact that their company is faith based and to do the work we do, we have to do it with love. Our resident transitioned and throughout the entire time, not only did these ladies provide support to our resident, they also provided support to a grieving family and to our team.

When we first called Gifted Stewards, it was during one of the most difficult and overwhelming times in our lives. Our mom’s health was rapidly declining, her existing care was no longer sufficient, and our family was desperately searching for help. From the very first meeting, the team at Gifted Stewards felt like family.

They listened carefully to every detail we shared about Mom and embraced her care with compassion, dignity, and genuine love. At a time when dementia had stolen so much of her joy, the caregivers at Gifted Stewards found ways to make her laugh, smile, and experience happiness again. Through dancing, singing, praying, and sharing laughter, they helped make the most of every precious moment she had left.

Their communication with our family was constant, thoughtful, and reassuring. They immediately became true partners in Mom’s care, keeping us informed and involved every step of the way. When Mom was hospitalized with complications, their support never wavered. They continued to advocate for her, communicate with our family, and ensure she was safe and receiving the best care possible.

As her health significantly declined, they remained by her side, working seamlessly with hospice and continuing to support her with unwavering dedication. They were there through her final moments, and because of them, we knew she was safe, comfortable, and at peace.

Although our time together was only three months, our family grew to include every member of the Gifted Stewards team. The impact they made on our lives is immeasurable, and we will forever be grateful for the love, kindness, and care they showed our mother and our entire family. One of the greatest blessings was seeing our new family from Gifted Stewards join us months later at Mom’s Celebration of Life.

Their presence meant the world to us and was a testament to the genuine relationships they build with the families they serve. There is simply no way we could have navigated Mom’s illness, complications, and final journey without Gifted Stewards by our side. They provided not only exceptional care for our mother, but also strength, comfort, and support for our entire family. We will be forever grateful and indebted to all of the stewards who cared for Mom with such love and grace.
